Vehicles Collide at Intersection on Route 257 in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two vehicles collided in an intersection on State Route 257 in Cranberry Township on Monday afternoon.

According to police, around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 65-year-old Cathy S. Blair of Franklin was operating a 2014 Honda CRV, traveling south on State Route 257, and 23-year-old Danielle N. Ames was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze traveling north on State Route 257, both approaching near the intersection with Meadow Road in Cranberry Township.

Police say both units had a green light at the intersection, but Blair failed to yield the right of way and turned left into the path of Ames’ vehicle.

The vehicles collided and came to a final rest within the intersection.

Both Blair and Ames were wearing seatbelts.

Ames was not injured.

Blair suffered suspected minor injuries but was not transported.

Blair was cited for a traffic violation.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, and Minichs Towing assisted at the scene.
