Venango County Authorities to Hold Active Shooter Drill on February 2

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Venango County law enforcement agencies will hold an active shooter drill at Franklin High School on Thursday, February 2.

It will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The drill is designed to test emergency responsiveness to an active shooter scenario, according to a release issued by State Police Tpr. Michelle McGee of the Franklin barracks.

Local residents should expect to see numerous emergency response vehicles while the drill is in progress.

Agencies involved will include Venango County Public Safety, Franklin School District, Community Ambulance Service, Venango County Human Services, Venango County Court Supervision, area fire departments, and PennDOT.
