FRANKLIN, Pa. — At Tuesday’s monthly commissioners’ meeting, Venango County Commissioners took action on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) matters.

The following actions were taken concerning CDBG:

  • Ratifying a residential anti-displacement and relocation assistance plan that states that if the county tears down a low-to-moderate income residence that is deemed to be liveable it must replace said residence.
  • Approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Venango County and Rouseville Borough. The borough wants to use $80,000.00 of country CDBG money for a sidewalk project, and the MoU states that Rouseville agrees to maintain and keep in good condition the sidewalk for a period of 10 years.
  • Agreed to the administration of the CDBG funds for Cranberry Township and Sugarcreek Borough and approved the submission of the Federal Fiscal Year 2018 CDBG application for the country ($232,440.00), Cranberry Township ($114,304) and Sugarcreek Borough ($109,924).
  • Approved the County’s 2018 Section 504 Plan and Self-Evaluation plan. These plans pertain to ADA compliance checks and what the country will do if it finds itself out of compliance.
