FRANKLIN, Pa. — At Tuesday’s monthly commissioners’ meeting, Venango County Commissioners took action on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) matters.
The following actions were taken concerning CDBG:
Ratifying a residential anti-displacement and relocation assistance plan that states that if the county tears down a low-to-moderate income residence that is deemed to be liveable it must replace said residence.
Approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Venango County and Rouseville Borough. The borough wants to use $80,000.00 of country CDBG money for a sidewalk project, and the MoU states that Rouseville agrees to maintain and keep in good condition the sidewalk for a period of 10 years.
Agreed to the administration of the CDBG funds for Cranberry Township and Sugarcreek Borough and approved the submission of the Federal Fiscal Year 2018 CDBG application for the country ($232,440.00), Cranberry Township ($114,304) and Sugarcreek Borough ($109,924).
Approved the County’s 2018 Section 504 Plan and Self-Evaluation plan. These plans pertain to ADA compliance checks and what the country will do if it finds itself out of compliance.
