Oil City Man to be Sentenced in Drug Overdose Case

| November 24, 2017

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man who faced multiple drug charges following a drug overdose nearly a year ago is scheduled to be sentenced next week.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Timothy Michael Stahlman, Jr., of Oil City, will be sentenced at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, by Judge Oliver Lobaugh.

Stahlman pleaded guilty in May to one felony count of conspiracy in relation to the delivery of heroin to a woman who overdosed.

The following charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Stahlman is currently free on $10,000.00 monetary bail.

Details of the case:

On January 17, the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against Stahlman after responding with the Oil City Fire Department to Stahlman’s residence on December 28, 2016, at 465 Colbert Avenue in Oil City.

The police investigation revealed that a woman had overdosed on heroin that was packaged in stamp bags with blue ink labeled “monster high.”

The complaint states that through further investigation on January 2 by Patrolman Cory Ruditis and Chief Bob Wenner, Stahlman stated that he was unsure where the woman got the heroin, but he believed that she obtained it from a black man. His name and address were unknown.

A joint investigation with the Franklin Police Department uncovered that Stahlman and a co-conspirator – Anton Roberson – were bringing in large amounts of heroin to the Venango County area, and it was then distributed to others to sell or use, according to the complaint.

On January 16, Roberson allegedly told police that on at least three separate occasions, he and Stahlman traveled to the Pittsburgh to obtain heroin, the complaint indicates.

Roberson also allegedly stated on one occasion, Stahlman obtained three bricks of heroin or 150 stamp bags, the complaint continues.

Roberson pleaded guilty earlier this year to one felony count of conspiracy in relation to the delivery of heroin. He was sentenced in June to serve two to four years in state prison.
