GavelBARKEYVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Mercer man who posted sexually explicit pictures of an ex-girlfriend and lewd, threatening comments on his Facebook page was recently sentenced to three years probation.

According to court documents, on Tuesday, October 2, President Judge Robert L. Boyer sentenced 47-year-old Wade B. Arms, of Mercer, to three years probation.

Judge Boyer also ordered Arms to have “No contact with the victim.”

On Monday, August 20, Arms pleaded guilty to two third-degree misdemeanor counts of harassment and one third-degree misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

As a result of the plea agreement, one second-degree misdemeanor count of Unlawful Dissemination of Intimate Image was dismissed.

Details of the case:

A criminal complaint filed on April 9 states that Wade Arms posted sexually explicit photos of the victim on Facebook in retaliation of a PFA that she had filed against him.

The pictures showed the victim nude and were captioned, referencing the victim with lewd names. In addition, in the comment area, the Arms allegedly made remarks that threatened bodily harm, the complaint states.

The Facebook posts were done without permission, according to the complaint.
