Venango County DUI Task Force to Crackdown on Drunk Driving During Holiday Weekend

The Venango County DUI Task Force will be performing enforcement activities during the 4th of July holiday week.

Enforcement activities may include roving DUI patrols or sobriety checkpoints. Officers from the Task Force will focus enforcement efforts in areas known to have a high occurrence of DUI arrests and or crashes related to impaired driving. Motorists that are suspected of driving while impaired by alcohol consumption or drug use will be arrested and subjected to appropriate charges and court proceedings. The Task Force maintains a zero tolerance attitude to driving while impaired.

Motorists are reminded that they should have a designated driver, or avoid driving all together, if they consume alcoholic beverages at any 4th of July festivities they may attend.
The Venango County DUI task Force is comprised of officers from the following departments: Cities of

Franklin and Oil City; Boroughs of Sugarcreek, Polk, Emlenton; Venango County Sheriff’s Office and Court Supervision Services.
