FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to the City of Franklin Police Department, an incident of harassment occurred at the Venango County Jail located on Elk Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, around 6:29 p.m on March 14, Rodney L. Parrish, Jr., a Venango County Jail inmate, approached another inmate from behind while in line for recreation, choked him, and then attempted to kick him.

The incident lasted a few seconds before being separated by corrections officers, police say.

Parrish was issued a citation for harassment, a summary offense.
