FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – The Venango County Planning Commission gave their conditional approval for the construction of a new tire business in Cranberry Township.

The proposed business, Chris’ Tires, will be a 7,500 square foot retail store located in Cranberry Township off of Felmlee Road, similar to the one currently located on River Hill in Shippenville, Clarion County.

It will include three bays as well as office and storage space inside the structure, plus fifteen parking spaces, and the land development will also allow for additional future development of the site.

The project has already received approval from the township.

The Venango County Planning Commission gave their conditional approval to the project, contingent upon the receipt of six fully executed plan sets along with the requisite recording fees.

In other business, the planning commission approved a 90-day extension period for Scott Snow to satisfy the conditions for approval to construct a self-storage building in Cranberry Township. The conditional approval for the project was originally granted by the planning commission at the December meeting, giving Mr. Snow 45-days to satisfy those conditions (calculated from the date he accepted the stated conditions). The extension will give him an additional 90 days to satisfy the conditions.
