Venango County Recipe of the Day: Angel Food Delight

This sweet dessert is simple to make and absolutely delicious!

Angel Food Delight

Ingredients

1 – 8 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 – 16 oz. jar chocolate fudge sauce
1 – 10 oz. prepared angel food cake
3/4 cup English toffee bits

Directions

~In a large bowl, fold whipped topping into the chocolate sauce just until blended.

~Split cake horizontally into three layers; place one layer on a serving plate. Spread with a fourth of the topping mixture and a fourth of the toffee bits. Repeat layers. Top with the remaining cake layer.

~Frost the top and sides with remaining topping mixture; sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Refrigerate leftovers.

~Makes 10 servings.
