Venango County Recipe of the Day: Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

2 cups pretzels — broken to nut size
3/4 cup melted butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 large strawberry Jello
2 cups boiling water
2 — 10 ounce packages frozen strawberries
8 ounces cream cheese
1 medium tub extra creamy Cool Whip

Directions

~Mix first 3 ingredients in 9×12″ baking dish. Bake 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool.

~Mix jello and water. Add frozen strawberries. Set until it starts to thicken. Add cream cheese and sugar. Fold in cool whip.

~Spread on pretzels. Spread strawberry mixture on top. Top with more cool whip.

~Chill.
