YouTube Sensation Matthew Ball to Play at Venango Museum

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Venango Museum of Art, Science, and Industry will welcome YouTube sensation Matthew Ball on Friday, October 20.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ball, a former attorney also known as the Boogie Woogie Kid, is a pianist, singer, and songwriter.

Ball has four million YouTube views for his past performances, and he has distinguished himself as one of the nation’s leading practitioners of the American piano traditions known as Boogie n Blues, Ragtime, and Jazz.

Ball will perform a family-friendly concert of toe-tappin piano and song favorites from the Swing Era, with arrangements of classics like “When the Saints Go Marchin’ In,” “In the Mood,” “Basin Street Blues,” “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “Bumble Boogie,” “This Little Light of Mine,” “Waltzing Matilda,”,“Swanee River,” and others.

The Venango Museum of Art, Science, and Industry is located at 270 Seneca Street in Oil City.
