Marienville-based State Police Trooper Benson says the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. when Charles A. Motter, 55, of Venus, lost control of his 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 and crashed into a multi-use building located at 19297 State Route 208.
Motter lost control of the vehicle after swerving to miss an animal on the roadway, according to State Police.

For over 107 years, the building was the home to Schupp’s General Store until the business closed its doors in the summer of 2014.
The building, owned by Allan Porco of Fryburg, currently houses Chelsea’s Hair House and four apartments.
Chelsea Carbaugh, owner-operator of Chelsea’s Hair House, was standing on the sidewalk, just a few feet away from her shop when the accident happened.
Carbaugh was not injured; however, the portion of the building that houses her hair salon sustained significant structural damage, and the business will be operating out of another salon until repairs are complete. Chelsea’s Hair House can be reached at 814-673-9202.
Motter and a passenger — Ruth M. Wolfgong, 65, of Shippenville — also escaped injury.
Motter was cited for careless driving.
Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
