Vera Louise Snyder, 90, formerly of 109 Red Bridge Lane, Franklin, died unexpectedly, yet peacefully at 6:02 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Mrs. Snyder was suddenly stricken with an apparent massive heart attack.

She was born August 9, 1927, in Oil City, a beloved daughter of the late: Harvey and Olive Rosetta Williams Snow.

She attended the Rockland schools.

Vera had worked as a custodian for more than 13 years at Polk Center, before retiring in 1984.

She enjoyed embroidery, traveling and the outdoors, baking and most especially spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was married April 3, 1945, to Paul Elmer Snyder, who preceded her in death on March 16, 1989.

She is survived by two daughters: Paula Snyder Krizon and Tracey Slocum and her husband Charles, all of Franklin and by a son, Larry Snyder and his partner, Deb Fertig of Reno; in addition to 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Leroy Snyder, a grandson, Larry Snyder, Jr. and by her siblings: Raymond Snow, Howard Snow, Walter Snow, an infant sister, Myrtle Snow, Beulah Titus, Florence Hazelett, Freda Orsino and Loretta Shoffstall.

Family and friends may call Friday 4-7 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin; where funeral services will be conducted Friday evening at 7 PM with Reverend Roger Overmyer, officiating.

Private burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
