Walter Webb, age 87, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20th.

He was born on Oct. 5, 1927 in Shippenville, PA, to Walter and Mable Webb.

After serving in the US Army he returned to Pennsylvania and married the former Lawanda Aiken.

They moved to Albuquerque in 1955 where Walter worked for ACF Industries before opening Webb Welding Service, which he owned and operated for more than 30 years.

Walter was an expert welder and machinist.

He taught evening welding classes at the Community College in the early 60’s, and he was a member of the American Welding Society.

Walt loved flying! He got his pilot’s license and was a member of the Pinon Flyers Club.

Walt had a quick mind and he loved to figure out how things worked.

Walter is survived by his children Karen Foster, Bruce Webb, & Linda Hartsock; grandchildren Heather Campos, Melissa Nash, Heath Webb and Stacy Webb; great- grandchildren Jordyn Webb, Tyler Otero, Abigail Webb and Zachary Campos; brothers Jim Webb and Ray Webb; sister Lois Marie Runinger; and by his ex-wife Lawanda Strong.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Webb, brother Carl Webb, and sisters Bernadine Garner, Irene Reed and June Horner.

The family will have a casual visitation for friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28th, at the Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo N.E.

Interment will follow on Monday, March 2, at 12:45 p.m. At the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

The Veteran’s Hospital in Albuquerque is to be commended for the exceptional care they gave to Walter over the last several years.
