Warren County Man Jailed After Allegedly Attacking Woman with Baseball Bat

WARREN CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Warren County man is accused of striking a woman with a baseball bat on Friday night at a residence on Wilson Road, in Farmington Township, Warren County.

Warren-based State Police say around 7:30 p.m., 27-year-old Shawn Thomas Moore, of Sugar Grove, “threatened to harm a (23-year-old Warren woman) if she took their child from his residence.”

According to police, Moore “struck (the woman) with a baseball bat multiple times.”

The victim was treated at Warren General Hospital for her injuries. The severity of her injuries is unknown.

Moore was apprehended around 8:46 p.m. on April 7 and placed in the Warren County Jail on an emergency commitment, police say.

He was arraigned at 9:15 a.m. on April 8 in front of Magisterial District Judge Daniel L. Miller on the following charges:

– Aggravated Assault, Felony 2
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Terroristic Threats W/ Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $15,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Warren County Jail.

The case is working its way through the court system.
