Watson Helps Cranberry Softball to Win Over Keystone

KNOX, Pa. (D9Sports) – Andrea Watson drove in five runs to help Cranberry to a season-opening 16-1, three-inning win at Keystone.

Watson was 2-for-4 in the game with a double and two runs scored.

Hannah Duncan added three hits and three runs scored for the Berries with Natalie Barcinas (2 runs, 1 RBI), Libby Kiefer (double, 3 RBIs) and Jenna Huegel (double, 3 runs scored, 1 RBI) all adding a pair of hits.

Barcinas and Watson combined on a three-inning no-hitter with Barcinas going 1 ⅔ innings allowing two walks and a hit batter while striking out three and Watson going 1 ⅓ innings walking one and striking out two.

Cora Black took the loss giving up 14 hits and seven walks while striking out two.
