Wayne Reddinger, 86, of Mayport, died Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2017, at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born on January 19, 1931, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Harry K. and Caroline (Mitchell) Reddinger.

On April 4, 1949, he married Gladys M. (Powell) Reddinger and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2004.

He served his country in the US Army during the Korea War, and he worked as a carpenter, working mostly with his family.

Wayne is survived by a daughter, Brenda Brothers and her husband Tom of Mayport, three sons, Bill Reddinger and his wife Judy of New Bethlehem, Jim Reddinger and his wife Donna of Mayport, and Mike Reddinger and his wife Amy of Punxsutawney, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a sister Ruth States of Cortland, Ohio, and a brother, Al Reddinger and his wife Nancy of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Reddinger.

At Wayne’s request, there will be no services.
