VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Venango County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 1:10 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019:

…WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SATURDAY TO 10 AM
EST SUNDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 12
inches expected, with locally higher amounts.

* WHERE…Venango, Forest, Clarion and Jefferson Counties in
western Pennsylvania.

* WHEN…From 10 AM Saturday to 10 AM EST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible.

Instructions: A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
