Ryan Bell, an employee at Webco, said the idea of the donation came about after another employee, Duffy Armstrong, had a conversation about the project with Howard Faunce, Oil City’s Public Works Director.

“We are fortunate to have Webco in Oil City,” Councilman Ron Gustafson said. “We thank them for their faith in Oil City.”

City Manager Mark Schroyer said the donation brings the city within $1,000.00 on new the playground equipment.

“We are very close,” Schroyer said. “The equipment is ordered and should be here soon, and we are in good shape to have it ready by the end of May — first part of June. The site is prepped.”
