Wednesday’s HS Softball Roundup: A-C Valley, Cranberry Grab Wins

CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) – Cam McNany was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI to help A-C Valley to a 7-2 road victory over Clarion at Paul A. Weaver Park.

Kelsie Terwilliger was also 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Elissa Papucci was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Sydnie Schmidt shut down Clarion going seven innings and allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one. On offense, Schmidt doubled and scored a run.

Alexis Constantino was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Clarion, while Cora Zerfoss doubled, scored a run and drove one in.

Sadie Rudesyle took the loss giving up seven runs, two earned. She walked two and struck out seven.

CRANBERRY 12, KEYSTONE 2, 5 INNINGS

SENECA, Pa. – A seven-run third inning helped propel Cranberry to a 12-2, five-inning win over visiting Keystone.

Libby Kiefer and Rachel McCauley each had three hits for the Berries with Kiefer going 3-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored and McCauley going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and an RBI.

Also for Cranberry, winning pitcher Natalie Barcinas was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. She went five innings allowing two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five. Nicole Hutchinson added a pair of hits, including a double, and an RBI, and Malliah Schreck had a triple, three RBIs and a run scored.

Karly Berkery was 2-for-3 for Keystone, while Dani Larrow was 1-for-1 with two walks and Jenna Hawk had a single and a walk. Cora Black scored a run while going 1-for-3.

McKenna Stiller took the loss giving up 12 runs on 14 hits and five walks.
