West Forest Students Dominate PA State Senate Competition

TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) – West Forest students won the PA 21st District video competition addressing underage drinking and drug usage in the Commonwealth.

The contest, sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Senate, was split between the middle and high school levels. West Forest Secondary School won in both categories.

Senator Hutchinson — who represents the 21st District, which includes Warren, Venango, Butler, and Clarion Counties — visited West Forest on April 5th to personally deliver the awards.

West Forest High School entry was submitted by Travis Swartz, Chris Pedersen, Dominic Grubbs, Kara McWilliams, and Jacob Humes

Seventh grade was represented by Avah Burke, Aubrey Barnes, Emma McFarland, Madison McFarland, and Kylie Johnson.

In addition, West Forest students are in the final 50 submissions for all of Pennsylvania.
