TIONESTA, Pa. — West Forest fourth graders and tenth grade Cell Biology students had the opportunity to learn about our local snake species.

WCO (Wildlife Conservation Officer) Mark Kerr visited the school recently. He gave a PowerPoint presentation about different types of snakes in our area and whether they are venomous or nonvenomous.

He discussed their dens and the importance of camouflage.

The students had fun learning more about these helpful reptiles.
