WARREN CO., Pa. (EYT) — Five juniors from West Forest High School traveled to the Warren County Courthouse on May 1 to participate in Law Day.

This event was organized by public defender John R. Parroccini to examine the structure of the American judicial system.

Guest speakers included Judge Gregory Hammond, Sergeant Brandon Deppan, and Carl McKee head of the probation department.

Following the presentation students were given a tour of the courtroom. This location witnessed the assassination of President Judge Allison D. Wade in 1954 which became the focal point of the famed book Murder in the Courtroom by John L. Young and Lyle James Slack.
