West Forest Students Visit Tionesta Fish Hatchery

TIONESTA, Pa. — West Forest students recently visited Tionesta Fish Hatchery.

West Forest students in Mr. Hale’s 4th grade and Mr. Vincent’s 10th grade science classes were given a tour of the facility by Ben and Kelly.

They saw steelhead trout eggs, fry, and larger fish soon to be ready for stocking.

Biologists Brian and Ken discussed their jobs relating to fish.

This annual trip is followed by trout stocking in April.
