Willard E. Beary Sr., 79, of Shippenville passed away July 5, 2017 at the Clarion Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born on December 27, 1937 in Shippenville and he was the son of Edward Beary Sr. and Bernadine Courson Beary.

On February 18, 1961 Willard was married to Lela M. Downing Beary who preceded him in death on December 28, 2014

He was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

Willard worked for Commodore Homes until the late 1980’s when his health declined.

He enjoyed hunting, camping, picnicking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Willard is survived by a son Willard E. Beary Jr. of Shippenville, a son Jody E. Beary of Oil City, a daughter Wanda Matthews of Waldorf Maryland, a daughter Karen McNatt and husband Kenneth of Oil City, a daughter Jennifer Krieble and husband James of New Castle and a daughter Theresa Crawford and husband Alastair of Oil City. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sister Dolores Merryman and her husband James of Venus, sister Geraldine McCauley of Venus and a sister-in-law Donna Beary of Shippenville.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lela, his parents, a son Donald P. Beary, and a brother Edward Beary Jr. .

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

The family requests that donations in Willard’s name be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral costs.
