William E. “Eddie” Hollobaugh

William E. “Eddie” Hollobaugh III, 71, of Mayport, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born April 17, 1946 in Erie, PA, he was the son of the late William E. Hollobaugh II and Pauline (Vargo) Hollobaugh.

Mr. Hollobaugh graduated from Redbank Valley High School.

He spent his life working as a farmer.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and raising honeybees, but he loved to go fishing. Mr. Hollobaugh spent his winter months in Safety Harbor, FL with his extended family and friends.

Surviving are his brother, Paul A. Hollobaugh of Mayport; two nieces, Heidi Hollobaugh and Kaitlyn (Matt) Brown; two nephews, Ian Hollobaugh and Jason Hollobaugh; one great-niece, Livia Christie; one great-nephew, Byron Christie; and an “adopted niece”, Robin Thompkins.

As per Mr. Hollobaugh’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, corner of Broad St. and First Avenue, Summerville, PA. His ashes will later be scattered on his farm in Mayport, PA.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
