William L. Huber

William L. Huber, 76, of 284 Oleopolis Rd. Oil City, PA. died at 9:19 P.M. Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at UPMC-Hamot after suffering a fall at his home a few days prior.

Born Mar, h 14, 1941 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Herbert & Virginia Rudisille Huber.

Bill was married to the former Kathryn A. Mohnkern and she survives.

Mr. Huber was an independent oil producer and spent his whole life working oil wells.

He was very involved with the history of oil in the area and was interviewed and spoke on several documentaries.

Bill was very much a part of “Oil 150” and different programs at Drake Well and shared his knowledge of the area and its past.

He was a member of the President Chapel and served on its Board of Directors.

Bill was a member of the Fraternal Lodge F & AM #483 in Plumer.

He was the oldest active Forest Fire Warden in PA. and this year he would ‘ve received his 60-year pin.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and sharing meals with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons; William Richard Huber of Oil City, Richard Herbert Huber of Franklin, Jeffrey S. Huber & his wife Denise of Titusville, 2 grandchildren; Katie and Kayla, 2 sisters; Barbara Webber Of Plumer, Mabel Lyle of Plumer, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the President Chapel with Pastor Ron Hunsberger, Presiding.

Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Presidnet Chapel.
