Witherup, Brooks Attend Final Meeting as Venango County Commissioners

| December 11, 2019

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Tuesday’s meeting marked the final Venango County Commissioners meeting for outgoing Commissioners Witherup and Tim Brooks.

Witherup elected not to seek re-election, while Brooks was first defeated in the Republican primary in May and then lost a write-in bid for a seat on the board in November.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with both of you the last four years,” Albert “Chip” Abromovic said.

Abromovic won his bid for re-election in November and will be joined by newcomers Mike Dulaney and Sam Breene in January.

“I feel we were able to accomplish a lot,” Abromovic added.

Witherup said he has high expectations of the new commissioners’ board, which led Abramovic to quip that he knows of two outgoing commissioners who will let him know if things are being down to satisfaction.

Witherup chuckled at that, while Brooks said he wasn’t sure he would give any feedback to the new commissioners’ board.
