CLARION CO., Pa. — The Wolf Administration yesterday announced that a project begins this week to repair centerline and edgeline joints on approximately 11 miles of Interstate 80 between Exits 62 and 73 in Clarion and Limestone townships, Clarion County.

The project was made possible by Act 89, Pennsylvania’s transportation funding plan.

“This project continues the maintenance of Interstate 80, a vital link across Pennsylvania for commerce,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “Safer, smoother roads and bridges improve travel for Pennsylvanians and businesses.”

This $3.96 million Interstate improvement project is being constructed by Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., and is expected to be completed in September.

The project includes milling centerline and longitudinal joints and resurfacing those areas between Exits 62 and 73 on Interstate East and West.

Drivers should slow down and use caution in work zones for their safety and for workers’ safety. Motorists can expect congestion and delays in high traffic volume periods. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones.
