Woman Accused of Assaulting Oil City Man During Dispute

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted an Oil City man during a domestic dispute in the Lake Lucy area on Saturday morning.

Around 8:25 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, Marienville-based State Police responded to a residence along Lake Lucy Road in Washington Township, Clarion County, for a report of a domestic dispute in progress.

According to police, it was determined that a known 24-year-old Tionesta woman and a known 25-year-old Oil City man engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical, resulting in bodily injury to the man.

After further investigation, the woman was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment.

She was arraigned at District Court 18-3-02 and then placed in the Clarion County Jail.

The woman’s name has not been released.
