Woman Accused of Taking Wrong Prescription from Pharmacy

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a woman is facing charges after allegedly picking up another person’s prescription from a local pharmacy.

The Oil City Police Department received a report from an individual on Friday, January 18, that he had traveled to a local pharmacy to pick up his prescription and discovered it had already been picked up without his knowledge.

Officers traveled to the pharmacy and spoke with employees there who gave the officers the name Joann Domres.

According to police, Domres traveled to the pharmacy and picked up the victim’s prescription, as well as a prescription for one of her family members using the same signature.

Police say the victim stated that he does not know Domres nor was she to pick up his prescription.

Domres faces the following charges:

  • Forgery, Felony 2
  • Identity Theft, Misdemeanor 1
  • Theft by Deception, Misdemeanor 2
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2
