Woman Arrested after Allegedly Kicking, Spitting on OC Police Officers

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Oil City Police report an arrest was made following an incident involving the assault of police officers in Oil City, Venango County.

Police say they were called to a residence in the 700 block of North Street, Oil City, on a reported domestic incident.

When officers arrived to the scene, they spoke to individuals involved in the incident. Upon investigation, the officers learned that the victim no longer wanted Lisa Mathers at his residence.

The homeowner and the officers advised Mathers to leave the residence, according to police.

Mathers allegedly refused to leave.

Police say when the officers began to arrest Mathers, she allegedly resisted by kicking one officer and spitting in another’s face.

Mathers was arrested and police say she will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of defiant trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

As of 8:30 a.m. June 26, 2015, no charges have been filed.
