| March 25, 2018

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) – A 45-year-old woman is facing harassment charges after she made repeated phone calls to a known victim.

Court documents indicate the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 45-year-old Theresa Marie Woodworth, of Erie.

According to a criminal complaint, on Tuesday, February 20, a known victim arrived at the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department to report continued harassment by phone from Theresa Marie Woodworth.

The victim stated that he had filed multiple complaints against Woodworth to stop calling him, but she refuses to abide by them.

Lieutenant Ashbaugh spoke to Woodworth on a previous occasion and advised her that all phone calls and other forms of communication directed at the victim must stop.

The victim reported that Woodworth called his cell phone on two occasions. He told police that on the first call he received, Woodworth did nothing but yell and scream about an ongoing court issue. He stated that the second conversation was more civil; however, he did not want any contact at all, the complaint states.

Lieutenant Ashbaugh contacted Woodworth, and she allegedly admitted that she did contact the victim. Lieutenant Ashbaugh asked Woodworth if she remembered their previous conversation about not having contact with the victim, and she said that she did, according to the complaint.

Based on the investigation, the following charges were filed against Woodworth in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office:

– Harassment – Comm. Repeatedly in Another Manner, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment – Course of Conduct W/No Legitimate Purpose, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, with Judge Lowrey presiding.

A subpoena was issued via hand delivery on March 19.
