SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A woman who allegedly failed to pay for propane that she received is now facing theft charges.

Court documents indicate the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 27-year-old Morgan Lynn Wasser, of Slippery Rock, on November 15 in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office.

According to a criminal complaint, on March 7, 2019, Morgan Lynn Wasser received an order of propane and was billed for the amount, which she did not pay.

Lt. Baker of the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department spoke to Wasser on November 4, at which time she allegedly acknowledged she had received the propane and stated she was “hoping they would have waited a little longer as she was trying to get it paid,” according to the complaint.

One count of first-degree misdemeanor theft of services was filed against Wasser on Tuesday, November 5.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, with Judge Lowrey presiding.
