Alice F. Burchfield

Member_147575Alice F. Burchfield, 55, of Sugarcreek, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Ancon, Panama on November 28, 1959 to the late Richard M. and Winnie Mae (Soileau) Burchfield.

Alice was a 1977 graduate of Oil City High School.

She enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and NASCAR racing.

She was employed as a sales clerk at Skinny’s Six-Pack Shop on Riverside Drive, Oil City.

Surviving is her long-time companion, Russell Gregory, Sr. of Sugarcreek; two daughters, Danielle Hansen and her husband Matt of Oil City, and Rikki Gregory and her boyfriend Rick Gorman of Cooperstown; two step-sons, Russell Gregory, Jr. and his girlfriend Missy Kaputa of Oil City, and Matthew Gregory of Oil City; and six grandchildren: Bailey Wyant, Lillie Kaputa, Haylie and Dylan Gregory, Matthew Gregory, Jr., and Azaria Gregory.

Also surviving are two brothers, Rick Burchfield and his wife Lorena of North Carolina, and Norman Sterling and his wife Nicole of Oil City; two sisters, Donna Phillips of Oil City and Darla Stewart and her husband Jim of Phoenix, Arizona; her companion’s mother, Joan McGuire of Franklin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held Wednesday, June 17th at 11 a.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. The Rev. Rob Kifer, pastor of Heckathorn United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.
