Area Man Injured in Rollover Crash on Jackson Center Polk Road

MINERAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An area man was injured in a rollover crash that occurred early Monday morning.

According to Franklin-based State Police, this crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, as 59-year-old Raymond E. Haggard, of Mercer, was traveling east on Jackson Center Polk Road, in Mineral Township, Venango County, in a 2009 Honda FIT.

Police say the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, and for unknown reasons, and struck an embankment with its front end area. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate 180 degrees clockwise and roll end over end. The vehicle came to a final rest on its passenger side and was facing west.

Haggard suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Grove City Hospital for further medical treatment, according to police.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lowry’s Auto Body.

Polk VFD, Sandycreek VFD, and Community Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
