Barbara L. Minnick, 90, of Mt. Hope, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the home of her daughter Millie with family by her side.

Born August 2, 1923, in Erie, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Mildred Mellott Teats.

Barbara was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church in Franklin, Pa., where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She enjoyed her family and sewing and was a member of a sewing club. Barbara was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sr.; grandson, Chris; three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Chuck Minnick and partner Barb of Franklin, Pa.; daughter, Millie Shawl of Mt. Hope; four grandchildren, Sue, Mark, Jill and Matt; seven great-grandchildren, Leah, Tyler, Willow, Ava, Haleigh, Tate and Heath; sisters-in-law, Frances and Ellen; brother-in-law, Cliff; and many friends in Franklin, Pa.

Following her wishes she will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation.
