Body of Missing Butler County Man Found

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — The search for the missing Butler County man concluded this week.

Emergency crews located a body in Lake Arthur on Tuesday with the help of an underwater camera donated to the search effort by Nicholas Sopel’s family.

Sopel, 62, of Lyndora, has been missing since mid-November.

On Wednesday, the Butler County Coroner’s office confirmed the body was Sopel.

Sopel went missing in the early morning hours of November 14.

His truck was found in Moraine State Park on November 15, and emergency crews had been searching there since.
