Bonnie “Hope” Larkin, 91, of Emlenton passed away peacefully Monday, September 28, 2015, at her daughter’s home where she resided for many years.

Born May 8, 1924, in Dutch Hill, Hope was the daughter of Merle and Anna (Snow) Horner. Hope was a member of the Callensburg Church of God. She was very involved in her church and taught Sunday School for many years until her health declined and she wasn’t able.

She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her sugar cookies. She enjoyed feeding everyone who stopped in.

Hope lived with and was cared for by her daughter, Lisa, whom was her lifeline. Hope was a homemaker on the family farm and served as the secretary for the family businesses Larkin Trucking and Larkin Farms.

Hope attended school in Sligo and belonged to the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Association, was president of the Home Extension Group and volunteered with the Callensburg Volunteer Fire Company’s women’s organization.

On June 21, 1946 Hope married Harold “Bus” Larkin who preceded her in death in November of 2001.

Hope is survived by her three children Timoth (Karen) Larkin of Emlenton, Randy Larkin of Callensburg and Lisa Bailey of Emlenton; a sister Patricia Wolfe of Parker; eight grandchildren, 10 great­grandchildren, seven great, great­grandchildren and many special friends and neighbors.

Along with her husband and parents Hope was preceded in death by two brothers Arnold and Kenneth Horner and three sisters Helen McFarland, June Stewart and Jean Munden.

Private funeral services were held by the family.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the McEntire­Weaver Funeral Home Inc. in Knox. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Clarion Forest VNA, 271, Perkins Road, Clarion, PA 16214
