Trinity Edge pitched seven shutout innings in the win, allowing only three hits and three walks, striking out ten. Edge triumphed in a pitcher’s duel with Villa Maria’s Jenna Wagner, who allowed three runs in seven innings, allowing six hits and striking out 10.

Franklin did all their damage with two outs in the top of the seventh, as Erin Jandolo and Kaylyn Fry came up with a pair of clutch hits to give Franklin a 3-0 lead. The lead would stick, as Edge would hold Villa Maria in the seventh to secure the district title. Sydni Hoobler also had a pair of hits for Franklin.

Franklin will advance to the PIAA Tournament as the winners of District 10.
