The win marks the school’s first district championship since the 2010-2011 season.

Franklin’s Easton Fulmer, who was averaging 20.6 points per game going into the contest, surpassed the 1,000 point plateau on a fourth-quarter three-pointer.

The game was tight all throughout, with neither team able to gain a significant advantage. Franklin trailed late in the fourth, but Fulmer’s three jumpstarted a huge late 12-0 run to take the lead and snatch the win. Fulmer scored 22 points in the win, while Luke Guth scored 13 points, including eight in the fourth quarter.

The Knights will move on to the PIAA quarterfinals where they will play the winner of the District 6 Class 3A championship game, either Bishop Guilfoyle or Westmont Hilltop, on March 20 on the road.
