Polk Man Dies After ATV Crashes into Tree

CANAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) –According to Franklin-based State Police, a 34-year-old Polk man died after the ATV he was driving crashed into a tree.

Police say the accident happened around 4:55 p.m. when 34-year-old Todd M. Howard lost control of his ATV while attempting to negotiate a left turn on Beagle Club Road in Canal Township, Venango County.

According to police, Howard’s ATV traveled off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree.

Police say Howard also impacted the tree and was killed.

Community Ambulance, Cooperstown VFD, and Venango County Coroner Tyler Best assisted at the scene.
