Carol P. Bush, 77, of Oil City, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City.

Born September 13, 1934 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Magee and Mildred Long Spence.

Mrs. Bush graduated from Oil City High School.

She was of the Methodist faith and attended various churches in the area.

Carol enjoyed taking walks, the companionship of her pet birds, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was a dedicated homemaker and was also employed by Stuck’s Cleaning Service.

She was married in Oil City on December 24, 1952 to Edward L. Bush, who preceded her in death May 19, 2006.

Surviving are two children, Edward M. Bush of Oil City and Brenda Youkers and husband Jeff of Oil City; four grandchildren, Albert Bush of Oil City, Jennifer Bechtel and husband Tim of Rockland, Amber Crissman and husband Mark of New Bethlehem, and Scott Youkers of Oil City; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Brady Bechtel; and a sister, Katherine Mallory of Franklin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Youkers.

Friends will be received Thursday (May 31st) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.

Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Friday (June 1) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Pete Knight, officiating.

Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City.
