Charges Pending After Custody Argument Turns Physical At Eat’n Park in Sugarcreek Borough

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say charges are pending after an argument over child custody turned physical at the Eat’n Park restaurant in Sugarcreek Borough.

Around 10:09 a.m. on December 11, 2021, Franklin-based State Police responded to a disturbance at Eat’n Park on Allegheny Boulevard.

Police say upon further investigation, it was determined that five individuals had engaged in a verbal argument, inside the restaurant, over the custody of a one-year-old male child from Franklin.

The individuals involved in the argument are listed as a 38-year-old Franklin woman, a 20-year-old Franklin man, a 20-year-old Franklin woman, a 58-year-old Franklin man, and a 61-year-old woman from Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to police, during the course of the argument, two of the individuals attempted to pull the child away from another of the individuals and the two individuals were shoved.

Police say related charges are pending through District Court 28-3-04.
