Clarence Y. Harvey, 87, of Hydetown, passed away Tuesday morning August 30, 2016, at his residence.

Clarence was born on February 23, 1929, in Titusville, a son of the late Charles and Doris Fouty Harvey. He was married to Flora Murphy on May 4, 1949 at Youngsville.

Clarence was a graduate of Pensacola High School, class of 1947 at Pensacola, Fla.

Clarence owned and operated Harvey’s Garage for a number of years until his retirement in 1991. He had previously owned Harvey Oil and had tended to his own oil leases.

Clarence was a former social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of Hydetown; three children, Dianne Wolfkiel of Hydetown, Karen Halfast and husband Dennis of Centerville, and Clarence Y. “Tink” Harvey, Jr. and wife Susan of Tryonville; nine grandchildren; a brother, Warren Bates Harvey and wife Ellenor of Rootstown, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Snyder and husband Paul of Pleasantville and Katherine Davis of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ralph Wolfkiel and a brother, Charles C. Harvey.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Jeff Sterling officiating.

Interment will be in Tryonville Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department 12666 Main St. #14 Titusville, Pa. 16354.
