CORNPLANTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on College Drive, 115 feet west of Penn Drive, in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

According to police, 50-year-old Sue K. Winger, of Oil City, and 41-year-old Chad M. Shirey, of Oil City, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 1:32 p.m. on October 29, Winger was traveling south on College Drive, and her 2009 Jeep Liberty struck a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Shirey, that was traveling north on College Drive. The Chevrolet was struck in the 12 o’clock position.

The Jeep Liberty pushed the Chevrolet Silverado approximately 12 feet backwards after initial impact, then the Chevrolet made contact with a parked vehicle, a 2007 Ford FMS, in the 2 o’clock position.

Winger suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to UPMC Northwest.

She was using a seat belt.

Shirey was also using a seat belt and was not injured.

Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The vehicles were towed by Venango Towing.
