    Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:18 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, Sergeant Heller of the Polk Borough Police Department was called to a residence in Clinton Township for a report of a domestic dispute.

Upon his arrival at the scene, he was met by an adult female and two juveniles at the end of the driveway. The complaint notes that the woman and the juveniles were frightened and teary-eyed.

According to the complaint, the victims reported that Mike Hassey threw the first juvenile victim down on the couch and struck the victim, leaving bruises. Both juvenile victims went on to state that Hassey then threatened to use a gun and kill them.

They reported that Hassey then threw the adult female victim down on the couch.

One of the juvenile victims then texted their grandmother about the incident and she called 9-1-1 while the victims got out of the house to wait for police in the driveway.

The complaint notes the victims also stated that Hassey had been drinking and had guns in the house.

Based on the investigation, Hassey was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 23.
