Convicted Sex Offender Accused of Raping Boy in Sugarcreek

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — According to Sugarcreek Borough Police, charges have been filed against a 49-year-old Franklin man for allegedly raping a male juvenile in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Court documents indicate 49-year-old Donald Ardell Hagan is accused of Rape and related charges for an incident that occurred in October of 2007.

According to a criminal complaint filed on April 2, 2015, the male juvenile victim allegedly woke up on October 1, 2007, to Hagan performing involuntary deviate sexual intercourse on him.

According to court documents, Hagan has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Rape Forcible Compulsion, Felony 1
  • IDSI (Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse) Threat Forcible Compulsion, Felony 1
  • Sexual Assault, Felony 2

Hagan was previously convicted of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse/Criminal Solicitation and Indecent Assault on November 13, 1992.

He was required to register on Megan’s Law beginning July 7, 2006, as a Lifetime Offender.

He is currently housed at SCI Waymart in Waymart, Pa. where he has been serving a sentence for failing to comply with registration of sexual offender requirements since 2012.

A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
