Cranberry Township Woman Accused of Retail Theft in Seneca

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, a retail theft occurred at the Dollar General store, on State Route 257, in Seneca, Venango County.

Police say this incident occurred 21-year-old Kate Marie Roddy, of Cranberry Township, allegedly stole items on May 23, 2015, and on June 5, 2015.

According to police, the items that were stolen on May 23 were then placed on Venango County Area Facebook Flea Market.

Police say Roddy allegedly sold an item that was stolen on May 23 for $10.00 which alerted the employees of Dollar General. The employees noticed multiple items that were for sale on the Facebook page.

Dollar General employees called PSP Franklin on June 5 when Roddy came back into the story, according to police.

Police say upon arrival to the Dollar General, it was found that Roddy allegedly had $71.61 worth of merchandise in her bag.

Roddy was cited with two non-traffic citations through District Court 28-3-04.
