Debra “Oma” Robinson

Debra “Oma” Robinson, 65, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 3:20 p.m. at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania.

She was born to parents, Foster Alva and Geraldine Mae (Runyeon) Duck in Altoona on May 15, 1953.

After graduating high school in Franklin, Debra married her husband, Mead Robinson, who survives her, and started a loving family. She worked in the kitchen at the Franklin Hospital.

In her spare time, she loved to knit, crochet, read books, plant flowers, watch hummingbirds; but most of all enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and watching their many activities. Debra was also an avid fan of the show “Survivor”, and “loudly” enjoyed watching Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. She was also known to make sure that her grandchildren always had their snacks.

In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her 2 sons, Mead Charles Robinson, Jr. of Franklin and Scott David Robinson of Clarion; her daughter, Heidi Siler (Paul), of Oil City; her 3 grandchildren, Jordan Siler, Brandon Siler, and Jemma Rose Miller, who all knew her as “Oma” .

She is further survived by her twin brother, Roger Duck and his wife, Kate, of Franklin; her brothers, Glenn Duck and his wife, Karen, of New York, Dennis Duck of Garfield, OH, and Russell “Bud” Duck and his wife, Bonnie, of Brunswick, OH; and her two dogs, Roscoe and Patches, whom she loved very much.

Debra is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Joann “Cook” Grove, Nancy Craft, and Jackie Mitchell; and her infant brother.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Byron Myers, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City, officiating.

Interment will be held at Graham Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Venango County, P.O. Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301.
